Anastasia is ONE

About one year ago, I took care of a new mother, Veronica and her sweet little baby girl, Anastasia. During my shift, I was doing my hourly rounding (like every good nurse does ;)) and walked into Veronica & her husband Charlie totally gushing over their daughter, and it nearly brought tears to my eyes witnessing such a candid and beautiful moment. I cannot remember the details about the next part, but there was a good camera lying nearby, and so I offered my photography skills for a quick, impromptu photo session to try to capture this moment that seemed so endearing. One thing led to another, and about 9 months later, Veronica reached out to schedule a shoot for her SOON-TO-BE ONE YEAR OLD!! Time is a thief, I know. Ironically enough, this lovely family lives pretty darn close and we could possibly be spending the next 15 + years watching our kids go to school together! If Anastasia turns out to be anything like her mother and father, she will be a wholesome, sweet, funny, & present little girl. Her parents truly have the concepts of living in the moment and finding joy in all things, perfected. In the little time I spent with them at the hospital and now at their own home, I feel pretty confident saying they are going to excel at the parenting role & Anastasia is going to excel at whatever she puts her mind to thanks to her pretty amazing support system.
